My Opinion: The weapon of secrecy should be used as an exception, in a very few cases that really need it. The most of the FBI work and activities should be open to public scrutiny on a permanent basis.

Secrecy is a powerful weapon.
Why does the FBI think that they are entitled to it, and the regular police does without it, and nicely? Essentially, it is the same type of work.
Secrecy and the lack of the adequate records make the public control of the FBI activities difficult, if possible at all. And judging from what we know, the FBI are not saints at all.
My Opinion: The weapon of secrecy should be used as an exception, in a very few cases that really need it. The most of the FBI work and activities should be open to public scrutiny on a permanent basis.
The witch hunt on J6 investigators and prosecutors is clearly retaliatory and dictatorial. The conflict will take its course, and it already brought up important issues regarding the specifics of the FBI work which need public attention and discussion.
