While the first phase of declassified Epstein files was released in February 2025 by Attorney General Pamela Bondi, many documents remain sealed or redacted, and there are ongoing calls for their full release.³

Some commentators and social media users have indeed speculated that the deployment of troops to Los Angeles might be a "coverup" or a "distraction" from the Epstein files claims and other political issues. However, there is no direct evidence to prove a causal link between these two events. The protests in Los Angeles are a direct response to immigration enforcement actions, and the Epstein files release is a separate legal and political process.
