The political legitimacy in general and that of Vladimir Putin
The political legitimacy in general and that of Vladimir Putin depend on many dynamic factors, and not only on the election results. In the case of Russia, the opinions of the prominent writers do count, in the usual absence of too many loud voices.
Shishkin said: Russia is a Big Fraud (note the affinity with Trump), "lies got deeply under their skins", and the political power in Russia is eternally (the Mongol-Tatar way, methinks) oppressive and omnipotent: "If the Authorities order them to convert to islam or become the Chinese, THEY WILL." AND UNQUESTIONINGLY, I would add.
Is the cause (or at least one of them), of this spiritual vacuum left by the great RASKOL in the ROC? Is the solution then the return of the OLD (and TRUE) BELIEVERS to the full ecclesiastical and political powers?
