Los candidatos a la Presidencia de la Comunidad de Madrid han acudido a las urnas este 4 de mayo. El más madrugador ha sido el candidato de Ciudadanos, Edmundo Bal, que ha depositado su voto en el Centro cultural Alfredo Kraus, en el barrio de Mirasierra del distrito de Fuencarral-El Pardo, desde donde ha llamado a la participación. También en la capital, el candidato del PSOE, Ángel Gabilondo, lo ha hecho en el Colegio Joaquín Turina, en el barrio de Costillares del distrito de Ciudad Lineal, donde ha mandado un mensaje claro. Desde Chamberí y tras ejercer su derecho al voto, la candidatadel PP a la reeleción, Iabel Díaz Ayuso, ha lanzado un mensaje a los madrileños.

El Gobierno aprueba este martes un decreto para regular la nueva fase que se abrirá el 9 de mayo tras el fin del estado de alarma que, entre otras cosas, va a permitir a las Comunidades Autónomas recurrir ante el Tribunal Supremo las decisiones que adopten los Tribunales Superiores de Justicia sobre las restricciones que aprueben para seguir luchando contra la pandemia, según explican a Europa Press fuentes gubernamentales.

Wie hat sich im Corona-Jahr 2020 die Zahl der Todesfälle entwickelt? Laut den jüngsten Daten nahmen die Sterbefälle zu, während die Zahl der Neugeborenen fast konstant blieb. Ein deutliches Minus wurde bei den Eheschließungen verzeichnet.
TODESFÄLLE: Insgesamt starben im letzten Jahr etwa 986 000 Menschen, das sind 46 000 Todesfälle (5 Prozent) mehr als 2019. «Das ist ein merklicher Anstieg, der noch einmal deutlich höher gewesen wäre, wenn Corona nicht eingedämmt worden wäre», sagte Mortalitätsexperte Sebastian Klüsener vom Bundesinstitut für Bevölkerungsforschung (BiB). 2020 gab es demnach drei Phasen der Übersterblichkeit: zur ersten Corona-Welle im Frühjahr, während einer Hitzewelle im Sommer sowie zur zweiten Corona-Welle zum Jahresende.
Zudem habe es in den Phasen deutliche regionale Unterschiede gegeben. «Da wo die Pandemie stark um sich gegriffen hat, waren die Anstiege in der Sterblichkeit höher.» So war Sachsen stärker betroffen als etwa Bremen oder Schleswig-Holstein, sagte der Experte.
Klüsener sieht noch einen anderen Grund für Anstiege bei den Todesfallzahlen: «Die geburtenstarken Jahrgänge Ende der 1930er Jahre kommen nun zunehmend in ein Alter mit erhöhter Sterblichkeit.» Und das Statistische Bundesamt wies zudem darauf hin, dass 2020 ein Schaltjahr war. Dieser zusätzliche Tag bedeute im Schnitt 3000 zusätzliche Tote.

- It followed the move by eToro to add the cryptocurrency for its 20 million global users.

Dogecoin jumped more than 26% to a new all-time high above $4.88 on Tuesday after trading platform eToro added the meme cryptocurrency, opening it up to its 20 million users.
The Shiba Inu-themed digital asset was also boosted by a break into Major League Baseball, with the Oakland A's accepting dogecoin as payment for tickets.
Dogecoin was 25.9% higher as of 7.20 a.m. ET at $0.48547, having earlier hit an all-time high of $0.48813, according to CoinGecko.
The meme cryptocurrency, which was started as a joke in 2013, has soared more than 19,200% over the last year and 760% over the last 30 days. Its market capitalization stood at more than $60 billion on Tuesday.
Dogecoin has ridden the cryptocurrency wave, which analysts say has been driven by huge amounts of stimulus from governments and central banks during the COVID-19 crisis.
Celebrity endorsements have also been central to the rise of dogecoin. In particular, regular tweets from Tesla's chief executive Elon Musk have helped support the asset.
But eToro's decision to add dogecoin trading to its platform sparked the latest leg higher. The brokerage is looking to expand its offerings as it prepares to go public via a special-purpose acquisition company in a $10.4 billion deal.
eToro said it had added dogecoin due to strong customer demand, with millennial and Gen Z investors having warmed to the irreverent cryptocurrency in defiance of mainstream financial opinion. The exchange said its 20 million global registered users will now be able to invest in the token.
Optimism around dogecoin also grew after the Oakland Athletics Major League Baseball team said it had started accepting dogecoin as payment for tickets. Oakland A's president Dave Kaval said on Twitter the team had already processed dogecoin transactions, which he said were the first in Major League Baseball history.
eToro sung dogecoin's praises in a statement on Monday, saying it is "one of the fastest blockchain networks to transact on, thanks to its one-minute block intervals."
But many analysts have warned potential investors to be very careful with dogecoin and other altcoins, arguing their lack of use cases and wild volatility make them highly risky investments.
