Will Fox News’ Monica Crowley Become Donald Trump’s Running Mate in 2024???
Edited by: Fern Sidman
Now that the midterm elections of 2022 are getting closer and various candidates are gearing up for what some predict to be competitive races, that means that soon thereafter, our attentions turn to yet another presidential election in 2024.
According to various sources, it is becoming clearer with each passing day that former President Donald Trump may indeed throw his hat in the ring of what many predict to be a crowded field of Republicans. In two short years, they go head-to-head in a series of debates and intensive campaigning for the nation’s highest office.
Having said this, Page Six of the New York Post reported that Trump may not tap his former vice president, Mike Pence to reprise his role as the second in command. While many attribute such a decision to the strain in their relationship during the last weeks they spent in office and then thereafter; seemingly over Pence’s refusal to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential race that saw Biden win.
Page Six suggested that Trump might consider Fox News’ former news reporter and anchorwoman, Monica Crowley. A staunch conservative and big time Trump supporter, Monica Crowley comes with name recognition and a vast amount of experience in the world of journalism, public affairs and a hands-on approach to domestic policy. No doubt that she could become a tremendous asset to Trump.
In January of 2017, Crowley was offered a role in the Trump administration in the capacity of senior director of strategic communications for the National Security Council, but according to reports that circulated at the time, Crowley declined the position.
Speaking to the Washington Times in 2017, Crowley said in a statement: “After much reflection I have decided to remain in New York to pursue other opportunities and will not be taking a position in the incoming administration. I greatly appreciate being asked to be part of President-elect Trump’s team and I will continue to enthusiastically support him and his agenda for American renewal.”
It was reported at the time that Crowley’s statement came on the heels of a CNN KFile report that claimed to have unearthed multiple instances of plagiarism in Ms. Crowley’s 2012 book, her columns for the Washington Times, and her 2000 Ph.D. dissertation for Columbia University.
On July 16, 2019, Trump announced Crowley’s appointment as spokesperson for the Treasury Department. On July 24, 2019, she was sworn into office.
In 1996, Crowley joined Fox News Channel, where she was a foreign affairs and political analyst and occasionally substituted for Sean Hannity on Fox News Channel’s Hannity. In 2004, she joined MSNBC’s Connected: Coast to Coast with co-host Ron Reagan. After a nine-month run, the last show aired on December 9, 2005. Crowley has also been a recurring guest on Imus in the Morning and has hosted the MSNBC broadcast The Best of Imus in the Morning. In 2007, she returned as a contributor to Fox News Channel. She was also a regular participant on The McLaughlin Group from late 2007 to 2011.
Crowley is an occasional panelist on Fox News Channel’s late-night satire show Red Eye w/ Greg Gutfeld. Since 2009, she has been a guest host for Bill O’Reilly on The O’Reilly Factor and his subsequent podcast and appeared opposite Alan Colmes on an episode of The O’Reilly Factor in a segment called “Barack and a Hard Place”. She is also an occasional guest host on the daily (5:00 pm ET) Fox opinion show, The Five.
Crowley appeared in the Netflix original series House of Cards, portraying herself.

(TJV NEWS) Bloomberg reports Friday that the Kremlin may be limiting its key military objectives to taking full control over the Donbas region. This despite multiple parts of the county, including outside the capital of Kiev, still witnessing intense fighting and shelling.
The Friday Bloomberg report says that “After a month of fighting that’s yielded limited territorial gains, the Russian military said it’s focusing efforts on taking full control of Ukraine’s Donbas region, potentially a sign it’s backing away from hopes of taking larger swathes of the country.”
The Russian military’s first deputy chief of the General Staff Sergei Rudskoi said the following as quoted in Interfax: “Our forces will focus on the main thing – the complete liberation of Donbas.”
Bloomberg reports of a fresh casualty count from Russia’s military, “Rudskoi put losses at 1,351 killed and 3,835 wounded, the first official accounting since March 2. He said Russian forces control 93% of the Luhansk People’s Republic and 54% of the Donetsk one.” However, many believe the true count to be much higher.
The Kremlin’s chief negotiator Vladimir Medinsky was cited in Interfax as saying that “Russia sees no progress on key issues in talks with Ukraine.”
