General Sir Nick Carter has said British troops are "happy to collaborate with" the Taliban and he believes they have changed in recent years.
He tells Kay Burley "may always be a threat from homogeneous elements" of the Taliban, but at the moment the group is helping to keep the streets of Kabul "very safe and calm".
Sir Nick said the Taliban lives by a "code of honour" that has "honour at the heart of what they do", and they "don't like corrupt governments" and want to be "inclusive for all".

The European Union will only cooperate with the Afghan government following the Taliban’s return to power if it respects fundamental rights, including those of women, and prevents the use of Afghanistan’s territory by “terrorist organisations”, the bloc’s foreign policy chief says.
Josep Borrell outlined the EU’s stance in a statement after an emergency meeting of European Union foreign ministers on Tuesday to discuss the Taliban’s quick seizure of the Afghan capital, Kabul.

Russia started joint military exercises with Tajikistan near the Afghan border, following the Taliban conquering of Kabul.
Around 1,000 Russian soldiers from the 201st military base in Tajikistan participated in the exercises, as well as tanks, artillery, helicopters and drones, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.

Eine Militärmaschine war dort gestartet, während zahlreiche Zivilisten auf dem Rollfeld nebenher liefen. Einige klammerten sich am Flugzeug fest. Die Luftwaffe teilte mit, nach der Landung in Katar seien im Fahrwerkschacht menschliche Überreste entdeckt worden. Auch Videos aus sozialen Medien, auf denen angeblich zu sehen ist, wie Menschen aus großer Höhe aus dem Flugzeug fallen, sollen geprüft werden. Bislang wollte sich die US-Armee nicht dazu äußern.

Twenty-five #French nationals and 184 #Afghans were evacuated from #Afghanistan overnight and have just landed in Abu Dhabi, French Foreign Affairs Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian said on Wednesday. More than 2,200 diplomats and other civilians have been evacuated from Afghanistan on military flights, a Western security official told Reuters, as efforts gathered pace to get people out after the #Taliban seized the capital. #Britain has evacuated more than 2,000 #Afghans since the #Taliban takeover, Prime Minister Boris #Johnson told lawmakers on Wednesday, as parliament was recalled to discuss the #crisis. "We have so far secured the safe return of 306 UK nationals and 2,052 Afghan nationals as part of our #resettlement programme," he said, adding that 2,000 more Afghan applications were complete, and "many more" being processed.
