MONEY IS VERY COMMON AND POWERFUL MOTIVATION, and it should always be considered. However, this whole story about the accounts and "working for the FBI" smells more like the professionally planted disinformation, which in turn may suggest the invisible hand(s) of the foreign intelligence services.
